Mike Wiegele Powder Camo

This project is a custom camouflage pattern created for a ski mask. The commission is for Mike Wiegele Helicopter Skiing (MWHS), a company that operates tours in the mountains of British Columbia, Canada. As this is a legacy brand with more than fifty years in business, it was important to respect the vision. The brushstrokes represent the powder snow spraying and the pattern is embedded with images of skiers and helicopters.
Authenticity is a cherished value, so each image for the skiers and helicopters were taken from actual photographs of skiers at MWHS. The fabric very prominently shows the iconic MW logo. It is only when the viewer gets closer that the skiers appear, and upon closer inspection, more MW's reveal themselves on the ski poles and helicopters.

Although specifically designed for the ski mask, the pattern could be used in a variety of applications from apparel to vehicle wraps.
